February Favourites and My First Giveaway!

Hello! It's me! Not Adele. How are ya? Sorry I haven't posted on here for a while (I'm sure all of you reading this, i.e my Dad- Hi Dad!- are devastated). I hope that you had a great start to the year. After a bit of a slow start I feel like February just flew by and before I knew it, it was March and I hadn't put up my February Favourites YouTube video, let alone attempted a blog post. However I really do miss blogging, and after a kick up the bum from some friends and family, I've decided to get back on it.

So, without further adieu, here are my February Favourites.

First on quite an exciting note I have a little giveaway for you! The watch brand Jord (pronounced Yode; I was saying it wrong for ages), very kindly sent me one of their watches and a link for you to win an £100 gift voucher to use anywhere on their site. Or if you just want an instant £25 off anything, use the discount code georgie_ashford at Checkout. How awesome!

As I've mentioned in previous Favourites on my Youtube Channel, (check it out here: https://goo.gl/efj84o ) I have split my Favourites into categories to make life more organised.

BEAUTY:

Sleek Matte Lip Cream in Birthday Suit:  https://goo.gl/2TsRL8

I love this stuff. It is the first matte formula I have discovered that just does not dry my lips out. It stays on for a decent amount of time and is a really gorgeous every day colour. I will definitely be trying out a few more shades as I really rate this little gem.

Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection: https://goo.gl/S8TKt3

These brushes are so snazzy, if that is an appropriate blog word. They are incredibly soft and feel so much more expensive than they actually are. I've always rated Real Techniques as a brand and I simply cannot fault these brushes, they're awesome. I'd skip the high end options and go for these, every time.

Vaseline Rosy Lips: https://goo.gl/Z7uw8a

I've used this since I was about thirteen, and it's always been good and done the job; but I think I've noticed how great it really is over the last month. I've been wearing a lot less makeup recently (more on that in an upcoming blog post) and as such have been reaching for this a lot more, just to give my lips a little bit of colour. It's very moisturising, and gives the lips a slight pink sheen which I love. Definitely an oldie but a goodie.

BOOKS:

Happy by Fearne Cotton: https://goo.gl/YVZRoA

I received this book for Christmas and I think it's brilliant. Fearne opens up about her own battle with depression and shares helpful advice and tips on how to deal with life and be, ultimately, happy. I admire Fearne greatly for having the courage to speak out about such a personal subject. Depression still has a lot of connotations attached to it, but it takes people like Fearne, standing up and speaking out, to really make a difference to the acceptance and understanding of mental health. It also looks great on my coffee table so there's that as well.

Psychologies Magazine: https://goo.gl/U16T8p

This magazine is epic. I haven't been subscribed to a magazine for years, but I had to make an exception for this. It's everything I wanted it to be, it's inspiring, informative and so interesting. There are articles and interviews with inspiring people, tips for mindfulness and well being, recipes, you name it this magazine has it. Actually it doesn't have random nonsense about celebrities that no one actually cares about so bear that in mind before purchasing. I however couldn't be happier with the content. If you want an inspiring read, without having to get completely stuck into a book, I'd highly recommend this magazine.

LIFESTYLE:

Radox Feel Relaxed: https://goo.gl/VstcjM

I have really got into bathing recently. I do shower, daily, don't worry, but I'd never been much of a 'bath person', ya know? However, as it's been extraordinarily cold recently I have been using that as an excuse to have as many baths as possible. My favourite combination at the moment is this Radox Feel Relaxed as it smells so very good, is dirt cheap (£1) and it makes rather exceptional bubbles. For the ultimate bath goals, I have been pairing it with...

Lush Intergalactic Bath Bomb: https://goo.gl/4MBupd

This bath bomb smells of peppermint which, in itself fills me with all kinds of joy. It also makes the bath go some seriously cool colours. I love the combination of these two together, the bubbles, the smell, the colours, what's not to love?

I hope you enjoyed hearing all about a bunch of things I liked using in the month of February. I blooming loved writing that! I've got the bug again. If you prefer something a bit more visual then I've also just uploaded my February Favourites to my YouTube Channel as well. It's all the same stuff, just with the added bonus of seeing me, drop stuff/get confused/make some very questionable faces. Enjoy! And Happy March!

Georgie xxx
